Freezing Aussie: Dish up thicker & warmer soups
After a mild autumn, winter announced its arrival in Eastern Australia with a mighty bang. Many had questioned if we were ever going to bring out the good ol' radiator this winter. Then it came, with devastation. Winter arrived with great frenzy, just like the appearance of Paris Hilton caused major havoc.
A big flood in the wine haven, Hunter region.
A giant tanker ruffled like a bathtub toy stranded at the shore of Newcastle.
To some, just ride the storm - since you can't beat them, join them.
After soaking wet conditions, you have this happening to new car owners at South West
The weather has been really cold and wet. Fortunately I like my
season served cold. Nothing could have prepared people for the sudden
emergence of the fierce storm that left devastation to farms mainly
through flood. The ironic thing about it is that the farms were in dire
need of rain after years of merciless drought. Conditions are so dry
that the water catchment dams have fallen below critical levels, around
20-30% across Australia. Something that most Malaysians could not
comprehend as they have afternoon torrential rains regularly - but they
could understand the damage of flooding. The devil and the deep blue
sea.
It's La-Nina, aka the 'little bitch' (girl), the exact
opposite of El-Nino. Where the latter cast unusually high temperatures,
La-Nina causes the temperature around the Pacific to drop big time.
Some argue, that it is to counterbalance the effect of El Nino, but
La-Nina is not so nice either - bringing lower temperatures, frequent
flooding at the lower plains with her rain. Lots of rain. Some of her
portfolios, Bangladesh & India flood cause by fatter monsoon
season, hurricane in south Atlantic USA & cyclone in Australia.
Is
it time to go solar power for heating system? Good news is that, for
those who are still clueless, the Australian Government offer a rebate
from early May this year on Solar powered heating installation. It was
doubled to $8/watt. So you now can claim up to $8000/installation.
Solar power heating would normally cost around $15000 and above.
Waking
up in the Tasmania's morning always has crispy cold welcome to the day.
Normally you need to get up rather early before 7am to catch a glimpse
of the frost outside the window. At 9am, frost still refused to melt
under the intense morning sun. Quite Unusual.

Everyone help. Keanu has resorted to talking about the weather, and in depth. I think we need to set up a topic trust fund for him. So that he can dip into it and choose a topic. I have chosen the iPhone, please add to the "topic trust fund", and help him out. Web 2.0; Keanu has back peddled after a brilliant opening to Web 1.5. But alas, we all have hope. PS, don't give me a chilly response.

Pauly. Pauly. Pauly. A few readers actually got bored with techy articles, I got a comment or two when I wrote about Phising. About iphone, it's mad. Just go to youtube and you have those who actually gave up sex to get iphone. I need to have one to write about it. But I have been observing the features and all.
PS wot chilly response you talking about? Pliz Axeplane.
